Wine Rooms Design
The London wine room
With an emphasis on style, the London combines a practical arrangement of box, bin and individual wine storage. When situated adjacent to a dining room or sitting room it provides the ultimate wow-factor centre piece.
The chunky shelving and back lighting create a eye catching showpiece, seen through a single double glazed glass wall, all fitted by us.
This wine room can be constructed from a range of material and finishes, and scaled up or down to suit any size space.

The American wine room
So called for its origin of design, where the modern home wine cellar really took off, the American maximises storage capacity with a complex design of bins and shelves designed to fit the specific types of wine collected by bottle and box size. This design works well in any environment, and is very popular in our basement conversions.
This one is designed to house 15 bottles of Bordeaux perfectly, and two wooden boxes of the same below. Not an inch of space is wasted, which enhances the smartness of appearance.
The shelf barely impedes the storage area but provides the perfect ledge to open boxes, stand bottles prior to decanting and store wine books.

The France wine room
Evoking the real vignerons’ caves throughout France, this limestone shelving wine room is the more rustic and authentic end of our wine room designs. It works particularly well under vaulted ceilings, and where passive wine cellar control is an option.
Limestone chippings on the floor and subdued lighting perfect the evocative feel of these wine rooms, which can be used in either a natural or controlled environment.
Combining this design with a modern glass wall creates a superb dining and entertaining space. Swapping limestone for concrete is a modern adaption of this style.

The Aumbry bespoke wine cabinet
The Aumbry wine cabinet was designed by London Wine Rooms for smaller spaces where no independent room can be created. The Aumbrey is, in effect, an elegant bespoke shelving unit housed within a climate controlled glass cabinet. Far more attractive than a standard wine fridge, it becomes the focal point of a kitchen, dining room, or any entertaining space.
The Aumbry combines a custom wooden shelving system designed to your requirements, either single or double bottle depth, with double glazed sliding doors lined with anti-solar film to protect your wine in cellar-grade conditions.
The Aumbry wine cabinet can be made to any dimensions and in any of the timbers we use for our standard wine room joinery.
